Style of yoga

Experience

Qualifications

Hatha yoga – a mix of postures (asana), breathing practices (pranayama) and relaxation/meditation.

I have been practising yoga since my mid twenties and teaching for about twenty five years. I teach a class for the UCM Adult Community Education programme each year in Peel and I run classes in school term time in Peel and Ramsey.

My classes include warm up stretches, beginner to intermediate yoga asana, pranayama and relaxation/meditation.

The yoga is tailored to individual need/ability and there is a focus on good alignment to help build stamina and prevent yoga-related injury. The pranayama is taught with mindful attention to detail; relaxation practices are fully guided throughout.

I am experienced in catering for ongoing health conditions that may prevent you from joining in with more active or intense classes. I passionately believe that yoga should be accessible to people of all shapes, sizes and abilities and actively work to promote the benefits of yoga both on and off the mat.

Beginners are welcome. . .
